Shenfield has been ranked 4th in a list of property hotspots where sales up to the 6th September 2020 have outstripped the whole of 2019.
In fact, the number of properties sold in Shenfield so far in 2020 is up a massive 58% on the same period last year according to the latest figures from property portal Rightmove.
Of all the areas listed, Shenfield also recorded the highest average price at £766,000.
These figures are borne out by Beresfords' own statistics with the number of buyers registering at our Shenfield branch up 45% on the same period last year and sales agreed up 30%.
One of the most interesting figures though relates to buyers moving out from London and its suburbs into Shenfield.
Jacob Farson, manager of Beresfords Shenfield branch, commented â??We anticipated that number increasing in the current climate as lack of outdoor space in the densely populated cities really hit home with people during lockdown.
However we have been astonished by just how many people have taken that decision to move out. They now account for 77% of the buyers we have here at Shenfield, a record high and almost double what it was only 2 years ago.
